Lawyers Translate is the domain name of the website registered at www.lawyers-translate.com. The website advertises legal translation services offered by lawyers as part of their legal consulting activities (hereinafter "Lawyers Translate" or "LT").

This privacy notice addresses users of the LT website. It is drafted in compliance with EU Regulation no. 679/2016 (the "GDPR") and Legislative Decree no. 196/2003, as amended by Legislative Decree no. 101/2018 (hereinafter the "Data Protection Code").
The purpose of this privacy notice is to inform users of LT of (i) the personal data collected; (ii) the purposes of collection; (iii) how it is used; (iv) how the data is safeguarded; and (v) what rights data subjects are entitled to.
This privacy notice only refers to Lawyers Translate and does not apply to any other website to which pages of the LT website may link.
This privacy notice applies to the personal data the Data Controller acquires or processes through the interaction of users with LT by filling-out the contact form on the website or by submitting a request for a quote for the services offered. Such communications may concern visitors, clients, providers and/or partners.

General Information on Data Processing
For the purposes of this privacy notice, "personal data" is intended as the information concerning the users that allow the Data Controller to identify them, either directly, indirectly, or if associated with other data.
Users
The Data Controller processes the personal data of the users of LT based on their consent. By consulting or using LT, the users confirm they have read this privacy notice and agree to the processing of their personal data for the following purposes: (i) request a quote or other information on the services offered by filling out the contact form found on the website homepage; (ii) request the provision of a service through LT. The users also agree that their data may be communicated to third parties in case this should be required for the provision of a service. The provision of the data, therefore, the granting of consent to the collection and the processing thereof is optional. The user has the option to deny its consent, and it may withdraw any consent previously granted. However, failure to provide the data may determine the inability to provide certain services and may also compromise browsing.
Clients
The Data Controller shall enact every measure required to maintain the information of which he may become aware while providing the services offered strictly confidential. Any information communicated by the client through LT, including the personal data of the client itself, the texts, and any other information concerning the project entrusted, shall be treated with strict confidentiality, and the personal data collected shall be processed in accordance with article 6 of the GDPR.
Specifically, the Data Controller will use the information provided to implement the contract (and possibly to implement any pre-contractual measures). The Data Controller may not, without the prior written consent of the client, disclose such information to third parties except for members of its staff or authorized providers if their involvement necessarily implies their knowledge of such information. The above-mentioned guarantees do not apply in case the Data Controller is required by law to communicate such information, or in case such information shall be, or shall become publicly known independently from the disclosure of the latter by the Data Controller or also in the event that vital interests of the data subject or of another natural person require such processing.
Use of Cookies
A cookie is a text file of reduced size sent from the website visited by the user to the browser and subsequently memorized on the hard disk of the computer of the user. Third-party cookies
LT intermediates cookies used by third parties such as social network plug-ins. LT has no control over third-party cookies, which are entirely controlled by those third parties, who provide the relevant information on the use of cookies, purposes, and disabling instructions directly on their websites, listed below.

Social Networks
LT incorporates plug-ins to enable the sharing of content on social networks. Such plug-ins are programmed to not set cookies at the time the web page is accessed. Such cookies may be set, based on the social network policy, only when the user uses the plug-ins voluntarily. If the user browses LT while logged in to the social network, it has previously agreed to the use of cookies delivered through such social network at the time it had signed in to the latter.

Place of Data Processing
The data collected by the website is processed at the premises of the Data Controller and the data center of the web hosting i.e., the Data Processor. The data processor is Wix.com Ltd. web hosting, with registered office in Israel. The European Commission has deemed Israel fit to provide an adequate level of protection of the personal data of residents of EU Member states.
Security Measures
Specific security measures are implemented to prevent data loss, illicit or incorrect use of data, and non-authorized access to data.
Data deriving from the use of LT is not diffused.
In some cases, categories of subjects involved in the website management (such as administrative, sales, marketing, legal staff or system administrators) or third parties (such as technical service providers, mail couriers, hosting providers, IT companies, communication agencies) may access the data. If required, the Data Controller will appoint these as data processors.
The personal data of the users will be stored for the time required to carry out the purposes for which they were collected. The following criteria are used to determine the period for which the data is stored: (i) the time period in which users regularly use the LT website; (ii) the time period required to carry out the task entrusted with or to fulfill a legal obligation; (iii) if storage of the data is required based on the Data Controller's legal position (for example in case of disputes or of compliance verifications).
The data subject's rights
Individuals to whom the personal data refer to are entitled to the right, at any time and where the prerequisites set forth by the law apply, to obtain confirmation on whether processing of their personal data is taking place or not, to be informed of the content and source of the data, to request rectification or erasure of the data, integration, updating, restriction of processing and portability thereof.
The user has the right to oppose to the processing for legitimate reasons. The user has the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority.
